The days have already started getting darker early and within just a few weeks the temperatures will start to reflect this winter season. A weather chart by WXCharts is reporting the first snowfall of the year will hit Scotland around the end of November.
This snow is reported to reach 34 centimetres in some parts of the UK and be accompanied by freezing temperatures as it makes its way through England into Scotland.

According to Climate Date, the average winter temperatures in Scotland vary between 3 and 5 degrees celsius with the coldest temperatures reported during the middle of January. Since the new weather charts are reporting unprecedented temperatures of below freezing before the start of December, experts are considering the potential for an exceptionally cold and brutal winter.
Although these are just predictions, other aspects of the winter season have already approached St Andrews. The holiday lights are out around the streets, students are bundled in warm coats with hats, gloves, and scarfs, and preparations for Christmas trips are being booked.
Especially following the release of the exam schedule, students are preparing for the holiday season and how they want to spend their winter months off.
