The leaves start to fall, sunsets come earlier, and it is time to hang up the sandals and summer dresses for another season and replace them with boots and jackets. This winter doesn’t mean just jumpers and jeans (though you can of course)! There are plenty of options that you can layer and still look chic and stylish whilst staying warm.
Disclaimer: the photos are not the only places you can find these clothes, many of these outfits rely on pieces you may already have, find at your local high street fashion shop or can even thrift!
The Tricolour
The three-colour rule makes an outfit blend really well whilst also staying stylish. This outfit incorporates wide leg trousers which are flattering in all the right areas and can be dressed up or down-definitely a wardrobe staple. Then pair with a white turtleneck (staple must-have that can be found anywhere) with a beige V-neck jumper over the top for warmth and comfort! Pair with trainers and a puffer jacket for an outfit that stands out, will keep you warm, all made with staple pieces that can be worn again.

The Floral
Any thoughts about florals and dresses only being for spring and summer should be expelled from your mind! Personally, I think dresses make an outfit look put together and full of effort-even though most of the time they are much more comfortable than jeans.
On the slightly warmer and brighter days in autumn winter, a great way to incorporate dresses is a long-sleeved tea dress paired with ankle boots and then a trench to complete the look and keep your legs warm. This also works great for someone who isn’t used to wearing dresses a lot.

The Beige
If florals aren’t your thing, or you are developing a capsule wardrobe, a multi-tonal beige outfit can enable an outfit to look chic, whilst you remain comfortable and warm. Pair together beige flared trousers with a white jumper for a classic look, and then a darker beige coat over the top for winter glam. Pair with ankle boots or trainers to dress it up or down. A simple and effortlessly chic outfit!

The Effortless
A versatile staple in wardrobes are of course jeans. Whether you’re a skinny, flared, mom, girlfriend, white blue or black, this outfit will ensure you always have an outfit for any occasion this winter. Wider leg jeans look great with a cropped jumper and puffer jacket, whilst skinnier jeans paired with a mock neck elongates the body. Jeans can be worn with boots in the rain as well as trainers.

The All Black
To conclude, a colour present in everyone’s wardrobe palette, which there will never be a ‘New Is’, is the all-black outfit. These look chic and can easily be accessorises with gold jewellery and a coloured coat or bag. For this outfit, pair a black mini skirt and black turtleneck jumper, and to keep warm spotty tights and ankle boots. A timeless classic that can be worn all throughout winter.
